Experimenting in Lush!

I've been to Lush! Not all this time... but a good portion of it...

It seems I was on a mission to try some new products on this particular shopping trip. I have always wanted to try Lush's dry shampoo and at first inspection it smells pretty good so I can't wait to start using that! I've also heard great reviews about the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser, it's supposed to be great for sensitive skin and I've got the most sensitive skin around so I'll be the judge of that!

I've also always eyed up the toothpaste tabs, they seem like such a good way of saving plastic waste, I'll let you know how I get on with them...

Haircare dreamteam!

Hello! How are you?

Not much to report, I've been working away on my dissertation all week. I feel like the representation of female journalists in chick flicks has taken over my life! It's quite nice to sit there watching Devil Wears Prada with a cup of tea and call it work though, it could be worse! This post is all about three products that I've been using on my hair recently that work so well together, that I think this will have to be my routine forever now! (or at least until I see some snazzy new product I want to try...) My hair is in quite good condition nowadays, (It was long when I first dyed it blonde and it was disastrous! But since I had it cut short it's much healthier and thicker) however it can get quite dry due to colouring so I have to make sure I have good protection from heat and something to add moisture to it.

Veganese Hair Conditioner

I've only recently started using this, see my review here, and I LOVE it. I don't think there is anything I've tried from Lush that I didn't like. It's really lovely and light but still makes my hair really soft, and it smells amazing, what more could you want?

Wella Luxe Oil

This is my little luxury treat! It is expensive but really worth it, and I only use one pump for all my hair so it is going to last me a lonnnnggg time. If you've read my review (here) then you'll know I think it smells like Britney Spears Perfume, I rub one pump together in my hands and spread through wet hair, and then add half a pump more to the ends once its dried and styled. I don't tend to use this on the days I don't wash my hair because I don't want to weigh it down but its still soft anyway so I don't feel like I need to.

Tigi S Factor Heat Defence Spray

I've repurchased this twice now and I think I'll always use it. You can see my full review here, it smells lovely, it protects my hair from heat and it gives my hair a lovely shine! I use this any time that I use heat on my hair, so after I've washed it and also if I'm going to straighten or curl it on the day I don't wash it.

Review | Veganese conditioner

Hello! How are you?

I've got a quick review today of the little bottle of Lush Veganese conditioner I bought to try the other week, see post here. I'd only ever used Lush's conditioner bars before and not their bottled ones so was really excited to try this, and the smell is amazing!

Lush Say

'Our lightest conditioner, suitable for use on all hair types. 

This is a light moisturiser for the hair; made with a seaweed gel base, we have added lavender and rosemary infusions and fresh lemon juice to give shine. A fresh lemon fragrance lingers in the hair afterwards.'

I Say

This so lovely and light, it's actually quite runny when you pour it out of the bottle so it's surprising how much of a difference it makes to hair! It's such a lovely smell, quite flowery and sweet. And it definitely does what it says, it doesn't weigh my hair down but leaves it with a lovely shine! I've also found it works really well with the S factor heat defence I use to add a shine to my hair! 

The only thing I would say is that I use quite a lot of it every time and my hair isn't even that long, I don't think this little 100g bottle is going to last me much longer so it's not brilliant value for money. After this is all used up I'll probably go back to using my conditioner bar because that thing lasted me agggessss and was the same price as this!

So I do really like this and if you need something that won't weigh your hair down, this is for you! And also it doesn't contain any lanolin so it's vegan! But for me, it has similar effects to my Jungle conditioner bar and that's a lot better value for money.
