Hello!
I've had a bit of a mare with my skin recently, it's been breaking out one minute and really dry the next so I've really been focusing on skincare and what to do to calm it! I have combination skin so it's hard to find one product that caters to all my skins needs. However I've been trying and testing and I think I've worked out a little routine that is working for now! I think I'll do a skincare routine post soon but for now I'll review one of the products I regularly use :)
I bought this a while back on my sisters recommendation and when I first used it as a full mask all over my face I found that it tightened and dried out my skin quite a lot so was quite disappointed. So the next time I tried it, I only used it only on my t zone which is the more oily part and it was really nice! It was still quite tightening but in a good way, it made my skin feel fresh and clean and actually quite tingly due to the mint! It worked really well to clear my skin and reduce oiliness.
It's not one of Lush's fresh face masks so you don't have to keep it on the fridge but it does have a use by date so keep that in mind! It's very very thick and quite grainy, which is the ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds, there to help gently scrub and remove dead skin. The smell is amazing! It's a lot like rubbing your nose into a mint plant, which is more pleasant than it sounds! Lush claims that the peppermint oil which creates the smell also stimulates blood flow and leaves that fresh cold feeling after removal. There is also honey in there for moisturisation as well as marigold oil and chlorophyllin to help treat the skin.
I really like this mask a lot, I only use it around once a week but find it really helps stop breakouts and control oiliness across my t zone. I'd definitely still recommend it for combination skin like mine, and for oily skin you could probably use it all over your face with no problem but I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin and it's main purpose isn't moisturising. However Lush do a large range of masks that would be suitable for dry skin here!
That's all folks! Hope you found this helpful, if you have any recommendations for products that work well for combination skin I'd love to hear about them!
