Week in photos!

I have had one hell of a week! And I've taken a lot of pictures to document it and plastered them all over instagram! So I thought I'd do a little week in photos post :) I've been interning at Monsoon Accessorize press department for the past few weeks helping them get ready for their press day which was Wednesday, it was so fun and I got to meet lots of lovely people!! Then at the weekend I went to Camden for my best friend Hannah's 21st Birthday :) There are also a few pictures of food in here because I can't resist being one of 'those' people...

Review | Daniel Sandler Watercolour blush in So Pretty

Gems Maquillage is completely and utterly to blame for me buying this blush! I'd been browsing through the Daniel Sandler section on Asos for a while admiring all the different products but never ordered anything until I saw her review. It looked so pretty and her expert recommendation was good enough for me to go ahead and order it! You may have seen it in this post. I was a bit unsure whether to spend £15.50 on a blush, especially as it's a watery consistency that I wasn't sure I'd even get on with, but I'm so glad I did because it is Amazing, yes, Amazing, with a capital A.

It's in a really cute miniature bottle which you can squeeze drops out of on to your hand, which I then use my Real Techniques stippling brush to blend into the apples of my cheeks! It's really watery but blends really well and doesn't smudge any foundation you have underneath. It also has little shimmery bits within it which create a really lovely brightening effect.
It's oil free and also contains vitamin E and jojoba which is supposed to nourish the skin, which is a great added bonus for a blush!

It's so blend-able and gives a really nice natural look, but it also build-able to suit darker skin tones.

Overall I love this blush and I'm so glad I found it!

Take a little look here if you're interested...

Have you tried any of the watercolour blushes?
What did you think?

Review | Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara

I've always loved Soap and Glory, so when I was browsing boots for a new mascara, I thought I'd give their new one a bit of a try! It's marketed as the 7 sided fan flare 180 brush, which contains a V groove for added volume and length! I can't really notice 7 different sides to the brush but the V-groove is genius! When I apply it I apply the first coat using the V, which really gets to all your lashes and creates the length, then I use the flat side for the second coat which gives the lashes volume!

It's not a dry mascara which I like, it's long lasting and doesn't start to flake for a good 6 or 7 hours. I only usually use my Clinique bottom lash mascara on my bottom lashes because I've never found anything that doesn't smudge beneath my eyes. I did give this a little try but found that even though it did last a good few hours, I did get the usual black smudge below my eye which isn't the most attractive look! I think I have unusually watery eyes or something, but if you don't have this problem then you'll probably be fine using it on your lower lashes too! :)

I picked this up in Boots for £10.50 for 10ml.

Have you tried this mascara?
What do you think of Soap and Glory cosmetics in general?

New kid on the block...

I don't know about you but I love Bourjois! It's such high quality makeup but not too expensive. I have sooo many different blushes, but I always end up going back to my little Bourjois blusher pots because I know it's such good quality and will last all day! So as you can imagine I'm quite excited for these new little jobbies! The same little pot, but a cream to powder in some really pretty and flattering shades to suit all skin tones.

In Boots from the 15th May at £7.99 each!

I can't choose between nude velvet and healthy glow, what do you think? Maybe I'll just buy both!
Have you tried a cream to powder blush before?
How much do you love Bourjois blush pots?

Whiter shade of pale...

Hellooo!
I've been seeing white bags everywhere recently and loving them! They're quite girlie and pretty and I think they would look great with a monochrome outfit or even to contrast a bright one! Only problem is I'd imagine they'd get pretty dirty in day to day life so if I give in and buy one I may have to invest in one of these!

Which is your favourite?
What do you think of this trend?

Spring Haul!

Df8nhF on Make A Gif, Animated Gifs

Hello!
I went to Westfield White City which, if you didn't know, is a magical place where every shop you could want (except primark actually) is under one roof so you can kiss goodbye to any money you may have...

I bought a few bits for my holiday and just a few other bits just to treat myself! Brace yourselves...

First stop Boots!
Sun cream is a holiday essential and Hawaiian tropic is half price in Boots so I got factor 20 for the first few days and 15 for the last few days along with some after sun! I love the look of the silk hydration and they smell quite nice too! I also went for it and bought Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser which was rather expensive but I'm liking it a lot so far so I think that it's going to be worth it! Fingers crossed...

Next Stop Hollister!
I thought I'd treat myself to a bit of Tippers Beach Body Mist because it smells amazing, like sweets! And I thought it would be nice to take on holiday instead of lugging around perfume bottles.

To Lush!
I love the Lush shampoo and conditioner bars anyway and was due to repurchase some and I thought they would be great to take on holiday for me and my boyfriend to use! I got the Seanik shampoo bar, see my review here, and the Jungle conditioner bar! I also picked up the Tea tree toner water because I loved the Eau Roma water and the Breath of Fresh Air and I also love Tea tree products for the skin so thought I'd try this one this time.

Last Stop Topshop...
Topshop have some beautiful things in their spring summer collections and I decided to take full advantage of my student discount card as it runs out in June! I bought these white scallop hem shorts, which I'll definitely wear on holiday and perhaps with some tights and a white blazer to work for a matchy matchy look!
I also got this skull print scarf which I'm going to take on holiday for the evenings and look at the pattern it's sooooo pretty! They had it in pink too but I thought grey would go with more!
I also bought this vvverry cute Denim Pinafore dress and two little crop tops in grey and black which will be perfect for summer! They go great with the pinafore and also the shorts!

That's all folks!

Have you started your summer shopping yet?

3 ways to wear | Topshop Denim Pinafore dress

Hello!
I recently bought this little pinafore dress for summer and, I don't know about you, but when ever I buy something, I try and imagine at least three different ways I could wear it, which is practical, but also part of the way I convince myself that spending lots of money is ok! I could picture this dress with loads of different outfits so I thought I'd share three with you. All the links are below the images! I hope you enjoy :)

That's all!

Which is your fave look?
What would you wear this dress with?

Review | Mask of Magnaminty

Hello!
I've had a bit of a mare with my skin recently, it's been breaking out one minute and really dry the next so I've really been focusing on skincare and what to do to calm it! I have combination skin so it's hard to find one product that caters to all my skins needs. However I've been trying and testing and I think I've worked out a little routine that is working for now! I think I'll do a skincare routine post soon but for now I'll review one of the products I regularly use :)

I bought this a while back on my sisters recommendation and when I first used it as a full mask all over my face I found that it tightened and dried out my skin quite a lot so was quite disappointed. So the next time I tried it, I only used it only on my t zone which is the more oily part and it was really nice! It was still quite tightening but in a good way, it made my skin feel fresh and clean and actually quite tingly due to the mint! It worked really well to clear my skin and reduce oiliness.

It's not one of Lush's fresh face masks so you don't have to keep it on the fridge but it does have a use by date so keep that in mind! It's very very thick and quite grainy, which is the ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds, there to help gently scrub and remove dead skin. The smell is amazing! It's a lot like rubbing your nose into a mint plant, which is more pleasant than it sounds! Lush claims that the peppermint oil which creates the smell also stimulates blood flow and leaves that fresh cold feeling after removal. There is also honey in there for moisturisation as well as marigold oil and chlorophyllin to help treat the skin.

I really like this mask a lot, I only use it around once a week but find it really helps stop breakouts and control oiliness across my t zone. I'd definitely still recommend it for combination skin like mine, and for oily skin you could probably use it all over your face with no problem but I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin and it's main purpose isn't moisturising. However Lush do a large range of masks that would be suitable for dry skin here!

That's all folks! Hope you found this helpful, if you have any recommendations for products that work well for combination skin I'd love to hear about them!

What's your favourite face mask?
What's your skincare routine like?
