So.... I've spent all my money!

I really should not be trusted with a student loan, or any type of loan or credit card because I have no self control whatsoever. It actually makes me feel quite ill to think of how much money I have spent on Autumn/Winter wear this year (yet no coat... what am I doing?) but hey ho can't take it back now! (I probs could but I'm not going to.)

So I thought I'd do a little post on all the things I have bought recently because I love reading these sorts of blog posts and having a nose at what people buy! By the way..these things have been bought over a few months, I haven't just gone crazy all in one day, thought I wouldn't put it past myself...)

Hi girls! I’m Georgia and I blog over at Georgia Loves about all things beauty. Being a huge skincare fanatic I thought I’d write this guest post on the skincare products that I really can’t live without.

My skin isn’t anywhere near as nice as I’d like it to be so I’m always trying to perfect my skincare routine and I spend much more on skincare than I do on makeup...far too much actually! For reference my skin is normal with no dryness or oiliness, but it is prone to dehydration and my chin and cheeks are quite congested. What I look for in a skincare routine is a mixture of products that can prevent wrinkles, fade scars and reduce breakouts and blackheads.

Champneys Super Rich Cleansing Balm – Despite feeling that this product is so so so misleading because of its name, I am completely in love with it! It’s an oil based exfoliator that works beautifully. It’s gritty enough to exfoliate well but the oils mean that it doesn’t feel harsh and it doesn’t irritate my skin. I wouldn’t use this for cleansing because I wouldn’t want it anywhere near my eyes but it’s easily my favourite exfoliator and it smells good enough to eat. I use it 2-3 times per week and would recommend it for any skin type, if you like the consistency and texture of cleansing balms then I guarantee you’ll love this! 

Alpha H Liquid Gold – Alpha H Liquid Gold has probably had the biggest impact on my skin of all the skincare products I own (and believe me, there’s a lot!). It’s a glycolic acid based exfoliating treatment that I apply every second night after cleansing. You pop some onto a cotton pad and sweep it over your face and neck, avoiding your eyes and lips. I found it really weird to begin with that you don’t put anything over it and was worried that my skin wouldn’t be moisturised enough, but I can honestly say that the morning after applying this, my skin is the softest it has ever been. I’ve been using this for the last 4 months or so and there has been a huge reduction in the lines on my forehead and my laughter lines, and my skin overall just looks so much brighter and fresher. It has faded scars from past breakouts and my skin is noticeably less congested than it was before I began using it. Because Liquid Gold is acid based I’d be wary of this if you have sensitive skin but I really cannot rave about it enough.

Clarins Blue Orchid Oil – I’ve always been a huge fan of facial oils and this is my favourite of the lot. It’s aimed at dehydrated skin and using it about 3 times per week has really helped to prevent my skin looking dull. I apply 2-3 drops with my hands all over my face and neck and it sinks in straightaway and doesn’t leave a greasy residue or any shininess. My skin looks plumper the next morning and my foundation always applies so well the morning after using this. I adore the packaging too and the smell is amazing! You only use a tiny amount for each application too so it’s well worth the money.

REN Vita- Mineral Day Cream – For years I thought that a moisturiser was just a moisturiser...until I tried this one from REN. It doesn’t feel greasy at all and there’s no waiting for it to sink in, but it hydrates perfectly and makes my face feel firmer and look brighter. I don’t like the scent of many REN products, but the scent of this isn’t overpowering at all and I knew from the first time I tried this that I’ll be buying it time and time again, it’s definitely the perfect moisturiser for my skin. 

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm – I love love love this cleanser! How beautiful is the packaging?! It’s an oil based balm that I use every evening as my second cleanse because it’s so luxurious it feels much more like a treatment than your regular cleanser. You have the option of adding water to this to create a cleansing milk but I much prefer to apply this to a dry face and massage in, and then remove with a wet flannel. It makes my skin feel so clean, and really soft and pampered. It genuinely makes my skin look better than it does after I’ve had a facial! It soothes breakouts and generally just does wonders for my skin, I really can’t recommend it enough. If you don’t like the feel of oils on your face then you definitely won’t like this, but if you do then you need to buy this right now!

Balance Me Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve – I never used to think of lip balm as a skincare product but when Glamour mag were giving this away with an issue a couple of months ago I couldn’t get over how much I liked it. It smells really strongly of essential oils which is a scent I adore, and it keeps my lips in such good condition. I keep one in my skincare bag so I use it morning and night, and I have another one that I keep in my makeup bag for during the day. My lips used to get quite dry and lipstick didn’t apply very well but I’ve had no problems with that since I started using this. Even though spending £12 on a lip balm is a bit mental...I’d definitely repurchase a million times over.

Fearne Cotton for Boots | Eyeshadow palette

Ask anyone I know, I am Fearne Cotton's number one fan. I love her so much that when my friend bluntly stated that she is a boring radio host the other day I was personally offended. (She is not.)

So I obviously get ridiculously excited when her makeup range is back on the shelf in Boots at Christmas!

Last year I received the Made you look Made you stare eyeshadow palette for Christmas from my sister and loved it. The packaging is so pretty and all the shades are perfect for Autumn/Winter.

So I just had to include them in my post. Hope you like it... 

So now Autumn is here, Winter will be just around the corner.

Frosty mornings, nights in by the fire, Ugg boots & winter coats, not to mention all 

the festivities, including Bonfire Night and of course Christmas!

Personally I love the A/W seasons, and the fashion and colours that come with it.

So I wanted to share with you my top 5 nail colours for winter...

Nails Inc - Reeves Mews 032

This is probably the brightest shade out of my top 5. 

I picked this colour because it is similar to the colour of our Christmas Tree.

I would describe it as a light Teal shade. The formula is thick and applies well to 

the nails, giving opaque coverage with as little as one coat! 

This was part of my the Nails Inc Catwalk Collection which I posted here.

This retails for around the £11 mark, similar to all Nails Inc polishes.

MUA - Frozen Yoghurt 

I bought this as soon as it was released on MUA's website. 

It's a pretty lilac-blue shade. Although I'm not too sure why it's called

Frozen Yoghurt? I've never seen a lilac yoghurt.

Unfortunately the MUA nail polish brushes aren't the best, so you 

do have to put a good couple of coats of the polish on to get a good finish. 

But just look at the colour you end up with.. Definitely worth just £1! - Link

L'Oreal Colour Riche - You are worth it 617.

This gorgeous nude-grey shade reminds me of frost/ice/slush.

I'd never tried any L'Oreal polishes before this one, but I'm so glad I did!

I love the bottle, its almost like a miniature because it's so petite and slimline. 

But all this just adds to the sophisticated appearance.

This literally applies like a dream! With a wide, flat brush, opaque in just one coat! 

For me they are a little pricey at £4.99 each, but definitely worth it :)

No 7 - Violetta 70

This is a beautiful deep navy blue shade with purple undertones.

Everything about this polish is just luxurious and classy.

The thing I love most about the No7 polishes is that they glide on the nail so easily.

They have a wide, flat brush and an easy to hold bottle shape. 

You really would only need one coat of this to give the desired finish. 

Although they're a little pricey at £7, Boots occasionally do a £5 off No7 voucher.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Teal-y Fast

Once again, this polish reminds me of Christmas trees. 

This is a multi-tonal Teal colour with a metallic effect finish. 

It was released as part of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fall Collection 2011.

It applies completely opaque with as little as one coat, similar to a lot of metallic polishes.

I love the shape of these bottles too. Available on Amazon for just £2.49!

September Faves!

In quite literally all my other favourite posts I have started it with 'oh this month has flown by hasn't it!' Well I really feel like September has dragged on! I finished my summer job right at the beginning of the month then my northern friend Heather visited which was TOTES FAB! (as she would say) After that I was waiting around impatiently to come back to uni, then the last two weeks have been non stop! I'll put some pics from freshers fortnight at the end if you're interested!

So anyway, here are a few bits and bobs I have been loving over September! :) 

Benefit skincare set

I'd never tried the benefit skincare and when I saw this mini starter kit for £10 I thought I'd give it a go, I've been using it over September and loving it! Review to come :)

Stila in the light palette

I am so glad I bought this, I've used it every day and night since I bought it and I think it will be in every single favourites post I ever do forever and ever! Full review here.

River island scarf

Autumn and winter are my favourite seasons, I love getting all wrapped up in coats, scarves and gloves. My lovely friend Nadine bought me this scarf for my birthday last year, isn't it amazing!

Maybelline colour sensational in coral tonic

This colour is so Autumnal and I love it! Been wearing it loads over September and I shall continue into October!

Models own nail polish in nude beige

This is my go to colour at the moment, I have been wearing it on it's own and it's also a great base for nail art, check out my instagram for nail art pictures!

Studded clutch

Last but not least my amazing bargain Primark clutch bag, I have been using this a lot over September for nights out because I can fit a lot in it, it's got a zip so I don't loose anything AND it goes with everything! Full post here.

Welcome to the first in the series of guest posts I'll be having on my blog over October (Guest-ober get it? cheesy I know) This amazing post it written by Helen from the Lovecats inc. who has such a fashionable blog and she always looks lovely in her Ootd's. So if you have been living under a rock and haven't already read her blog then go and do so immediately! 

Here she tells us all about her Autumn Fashion Picks, enjoy!

1 | A bomber style jacket: Perfect cover up for when the weather is starting to get a little colder. Leather sleeves are everywhere at the moment and I for one am obsessed, so I'd go get this jacket before I buy them all.

2 | A satchel style bag: Since Cambridge Satchels and Zatchels have been throwing out their interpretation of the classic satchel - and appearing on every blog ever - why not get your own (way cheaper) version? Pick a brown or a black shade to go with every outfit, they're perfect for throwing a million things in. 

3 | Any top with a detailed collar: A trend that has been floating around for a while now, but for good reason. It doesn't seem like it wants to quit for this A/W and this Topshop one is perfect to wear by itself with a high waisted skirt or under a jumper for extra detail!

4 | Tile print trousers:  Everyone from Zara to Topshop have been doing these amazingly printed trousers and I think they're perfect! Wear them during the day with loafers and a washed out tee, or at night with metal toe-capped heels and a smart blazer.

1 | Fur collar: Wear over the top of an old coat or leather jacket and you've got an instant update! Perfect for when you've spent all your money on nandos or those ridiculous boots you just had to have (like me).

2 | Leather leggings or trousers: You'd have to have been living under a rock not to notice these adorning the legs of pretty much, well, everyone. Autumn must have, in my opinion. 

3 | Studded boots: Chelsea style? Check. Studs? Check. Chunky heel and therefore perfect for running around in? Check. What's not to love?

4 | Fur coat: I must have about 10 of these in varying shades, but you definitely need one if you haven't put it on your wishlist yet. Promise you'll be the only person who isn't saying 'I'm freezing!' all day long when winter comes.

1 | Cross earrings: Cross anything, infact. Just like studs, crosses are also everywhere this autumn and these are a cheap little nod to the trend.

2 | Chunky jumper: Who doesn't need about a million of these in their wardrobes? They're perfect just with jeans and little boots, or throw a coat over and you'll be nice and toasty for braving the cold.

3 | Mid/vintage wash jeans: Wear with a tartan shirt and little lace up boots, these jeans will do you no wrong and will go with everything in your wardrobe.

4 | A plain collar necklace: Yes I know they've been out for a bit, but they're amazing, no? For subtle jewellery at its best, place under a collar or with a plain tee/jumper.

Kukee order!

I found the Kukee Website through Voussontbeauetbelle's Youtube channel and really liked the look (and prices) of everything, so I made a little order! 

I have bought jewelry from online shops in the past and it's not really lived up to the photos on the website, but this isn't the case this time!

 I bought an above knuckle ring, a cross bracelet and some small spike earrings. All for £5.50! (plus £2.50 P&P) They are all really well made, look lovely on and for that price you can't go wrong really!

I'd definitely order from here again, I already have my eye on the new bones bracelet!
