Kukee order!

I found the Kukee Website through Voussontbeauetbelle's Youtube channel and really liked the look (and prices) of everything, so I made a little order!

I have bought jewelry from online shops in the past and it's not really lived up to the photos on the website, but this isn't the case this time!

I bought an above knuckle ring, a cross bracelet and some small spike earrings. All for £5.50! (plus £2.50 P&P) They are all really well made, look lovely on and for that price you can't go wrong really!

I'd definitely order from here again, I already have my eye on the new bones bracelet!

My student loan came through...

Cheaper rent in my house this year equals more money for shopping! :)
I feel sad not having Westfield Shepherds Bush so close to me anymore as it's my favourite place to fritter away all of my money but I still found some nice bits at Portsmouth high street, so here you go...

First stop Lush!
I bought the Eau Roma Toner water a while ago and reviewed it here and I really liked it but also wanted to give this one a go, so I bought this in the 100g size for £3.95.
Then the cashier gave me a free sample of their new product Fun. It's literally like play dough that smells nice and apparently you can use it in the bath, in the shower or as shampoo. (or just to act like a child and mould in to different shapes!)

I was also persuaded to add on a pound for this Charity Pot which I couldn't actually open. Then my housemate Gary, determined to open it, dug his key under the lid, which then flew off and covered him in moisturizer. Rather funny to watch and we discovered that it smells like chocolate!

Then I strolled over to Boots and took advantage of their 3 for £10 on haircare deal by getting these three super sized dry shampoos. So I'm prepared for the next year...

I also got some products from the Botanics range. I have read so many good things about these products and they are such good prices so I thought I'd give them a go. The cleansing toner was £2.65 and the face cream was £4.65.

I then had the realization that it's actually getting cold now, so I should probably stop spending all my money on skincare and makeup and actually buy some autumn clothes! I got these two tops from H&M which I love! I wore the grey one (£9.99) yesterday and it's so soft and comfy and I really like the contrast sleeves. I thought the white lacy one (£14.99) would look nice either tucked in to a skirt or with some jeans and heels for a night out look which will keep me a bit warmer!
So that's all for now, I have a few more shopping posts coming up because I have been spending like crazy recently, someone stop me!

Mallzee!

No word of a lie, last week I was doing a bit of online shopping (I made a Kukee order which I'll be showing soon!) and I had about 8 or 9 different tabs open which causes my very old laptop to go incredibly slow and I got an email about a new online shopping site... Coinkydink! It's called Mallzee and it's launching later this year, and it allows you to create your own online shopping space, with over 200 brands all on one website. Great news for my antique laptop!

It sounds really interesting and I can't wait to try it out. It incorporates social networking with online shopping and allows you to connect with your friends, get their advice on any purchases your thinking of making, nose through all your friends 'wardrobes' and a massive bonus of this site is that if any of your friends (including you) buys something from your wardrobe, you earn money!

I know that I'm constantly sending links from different online shops to friends asking advice, just the other day my friend Kat sent me a stream of changing room pics to help her decide what to buy! So I think that this is a great idea to be able to do it all in one site.

If you Sign up now and start spreading the word you'll be entered in to a competition to win £100.

If you'd like some more information then click here.

They have a Blog, a Facebook page and a Twitter account too!

Also if you're a blogger interested in working with Mallzee then click here and find out more!

Review | Maybelline Dream Touch Blush

I have wanted to try a cream blush for ages, and then I was in Sainsburys spending my money on boring stuff like milk and washing up liquid and I saw this in the makeup aisle and thought I'd spice up my trip to Sainsburys and treat myself, because I'm wild like that!

It's in shade number 6 which as you can see in the pictures is a really pretty candy pink and I believe it cost me around £6.

Maybelline say:
'Soft, Natural Colour. This amazingly soft cream blush blends into skin to brighten your complexion adding a kiss of colour to cheeks, giving you a naturally flushed look. Cheeks have a soft hue of natural colour that lasts all day long!
Our cream blush is a perfect blend of pure pigments and cream for a blush that melts into skin & blends effortlessly to create a soft-natural flush of colour that stays true all day.'
I say:
- It's a really nice colour which works well with my complexion, and I think would look lovely on darker skin tones too.
- It's really easy to apply and blend in, and also you can either dab it on and blend it well or just blend less for a bolder look.
- You only need a tiny bit so it's going to last me forever!
- The only bad thing is I find it to be quite heavy on the skin, I expected it to be a bit like the dream mousse foundation and it's more of a cream than a mousse so it doesn't feel as light!
Have you got any recommendations for cream blushes?

Review | Lush Mango Bath Melt

Just a quick review today!

I bought this a while back because I saw it on one of Sprinkle of glitter's Youtube videos and liked the sound of it! I love fruity scents, the mango Body Shop body butter is the nicest thing I have ever smelt! When I first saw this in Lush it was smaller than thought it would be, and for £3.10 I wasn't sure I'd get it!
But then I smelt it and it is amazing.

Lush say: '
Give yourself a citrus wake up call and mango yourself with avocado, mango and cocoa butters.

Lemongrass, lime and lemon essential oils give you a zest and help lift your mind out of the blues and into an orange glow of cheeriness.A tiny bar of powerful skin-softening butters makes this great for dry skins.'

I say: It's small but powerful! It smells so strong, I put half of it in my bath and the whole bathroom ended up smelling like amazing mango-y-ness!
It's also really moisturizing, my skin felt so soft after using it in the bath and still smelt like mango for hours! I have been using the other half of this in the shower, I rub it over my skin just before getting out of the shower and it means I don't have to put moisturizer on, which is great if I'm in a bit of a rush!

So that's all for now! I have a few more Lush reviews coming up because my lovely friend Louise gave me a few bits to try!

Have you tried any of the Luxury Bath Melts?

Trying something new...

So as I mentioned in my last post, I've got a few bits and bobs coming up involving the John Frieda Sheer Blonde campaign!

Last time I posted some links to a few of John Frieda's Youtube tutorials and this post is mine and my sister's attempt at two of the looks! I thought I'd rope her in, as she's blonde too and has lovely long thick hair!

So I whipped out my box of hair goodies, had the Youtube tutorials at hand and got started!

I tried the low french roll on my hair, and it was rather tricky as my hair is a bit shorter than the lady in the video, so I adapted it as I went along and came up with my own variation!

I quite like it, it's quite formal, but if I ever go anywhere posh then I know what hair style I want!

My sister tried the hair bow! It was quite difficult because she has layers through her hair so the finished look was a lot more... disheveled than the models, but in a good way! And I think it looks amazing :)

But one thing we would need to do if we carry on being so extravagant with our hair styles is invest in some blonde hair pins!

Hope you enjoy looking through these pictures (you may notice I've got a bit picfx happy! oh well!) and I have more posts on this campaign coming up so I hope you're enjoying them!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Campaign!

I have some exciting news!
Last week a very lovely lady contacted me to see if I wanted to be part of John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Campaign!

Blogger: check,
Blonde: Check,
loves John Frieda: Check!

So I have been doing my research into the campaign and have found that John Frieda have been busy making some Youtube tutorials on styles for blonde hair! There's a few really pretty ones including how to do fishtail braids, and also a really amazing hair bow!

I love how the stylist shows the model how to do the look herself in the videos, it definitely makes me feel more able to try out the looks myself.

So I have a few posts coming up which will be about the Sheer Blonde Campaign, one featuring my attempts at some of the looks from the tutorials, another reviewing the products and perhaps another about choosing which range is right for your hair.

For now, check out the tutorials and let me know if you try any of them out, I'd love to see how you got on! :)

Stila in the light palette

Guess what I bought...
If you follow me on Instagram (xgeorgia... go on, you know you want to!) then you will have seen that I took various photos of the ordering and delivery process of this special item, sad I know but I was so excited! And the other day I was sitting in my room, avoiding uni work and watching Sabrina the Teenage witch on Youtube, the usual! And there was a knock at the door, the postman was standing there presenting me with a Feel Unique box and I could have kissed him! (Although... he is quite old, he may have been scared, so good job I contained myself!)

So after that long introduction (just skip down to here if you don't want to be bored!) this post is going to be a first thoughts/review as I've been experimenting with it lots since I got it!

Stila say:

'The new In the Light palette is a beautiful collection of Stila's award-winning eye shadows in wearable, neutral shades for every skintone that can be worn wet or dry.
The palette also includes an exclusive Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel, a matte chocolate brown, and a 6-page lookbook with detailed how-to tips and tricks.' (stilacosmetics.com)

I say:
  • All of the colours are so pretty, and there is a good selection of shimmery shadows and matte ones. I can imagine I will be using this palette for every day makeup as well as night out makeup! The only colour I'm not overly fond of is Night sky, the dark blue one because I feel like blue eyeshadow is a bit out there for the likes of me... but who knows I may live on the edge and try it!

  • Getting the eyeliner in with the palette is soooo handy and really good value because it's full size and worth around £13 on it's own, and the whole palette is £25! It's such a good quality eyeliner, and when it says no smudge, it means it! I really struggle to find an eyeliner that I can wear under my eye or on my waterline that will stay put for more than five minutes! I don't know if I have extra watery eyes or something but I always end up with very unattractive smudging before long! But this eyeliner literally lasts all day, even when applied under the eye!

  • I like the packaging, it's not too big so could easily be kept in my handbag and I like the little quote printed on the underside of the palette but a mirror would have been handier!

  • Overall I am really liking this palette so far, I'm very glad I bought it and I am going to try a night out look this saturday and perhaps I'll let you know how fares under extreme conditions!
You can order the Stila In the Light Palette from the Feel unique website for £25 with Free Delivery!

They also stock the In the Garden Palette and the In the Moment Palette!

Some good YT tutorials using the palette!

How to | Galaxy nails!

I apologize for the fact that it looks like a 5 year old has painted them for me,
I did actually do it myself...

1. Choose a dark colour to paint as the background for this effect and apply one layer.
If you do more than one then it becomes gloopy and will take sooo long to dry, and it's going to have more coats on top so it doesn't matter too much how good it looks!

2. Use a sponge to dab on the first colour. It doesn't have to be neat or look the same on each nail.

3. Wait for this to dry before you use another sponge (or the other side of the same one like I did!) to apply the lighter colour, focussing on the other side of the nail but it looks good if it overlaps a bit too!

4. Paint a glitter polish all over the top for the starry effect!

Easy peasy intergalactic nails!

Thanks for reading :)
